DID TRAMMELL CROW ALLEGEDLY PROMISE TO REPAIR HOMES NEAR DATA CENTER?
“This decision did not come lightly. This has worn on me for months. I know I’ve got some extra gray hair, I’ve added some weight. This is not something I’ve taken lightly. But I do know what could possibly come or what’s the desire for that property that’s in the back that’s already commercial. I just made the decision the best that I thought I could for our community. For those who contacted me asking for me to approve this so that they could have a change in their life, so they can modify their homes. Some of those, some of those stories that I’ve gotten about brought me to a tear that they cannot, they got mold in their house and they cannot approve their home because the insurance company wouldn’t approve the roof that caused the leak that now they got the black mold and they don’t have the money to pay for it. And it’s hard to sit back and listen to that and know what this could do and bring. I’m not going to talk about it but I know what' it’s going to bring to this community, the amount that Trammell Crow is dedicating to that subdivision for improvements. It’s going to have a long term benefit when everybody gets ready to selling those houses in that community and it looks completely different and it’s improved. But I just want to say you know I’m not going to make everybody happy but I made this decision the best I could and this went with a lot of prayer and a lot of thought and I yield back Madam Chair.”—BOC Vice Chair Mark Alcarez
