DOUGLAS COUNTY BREAKS GROUND FOR NEW TRANSFER STATION

Monumental day for Douglas County!
On Wednesday, the Public Works Department broke ground on a brand-new state-of-the-art Transfer Station and Recycling Center at the Douglas County landfill located at 1730 County Services Road in Douglasville.
The facility replaces the previous Transfer Station which was destroyed by fire in October 2023.
The new 2022 SPLOST-funded facility will provide residents with a much-needed solution for disposing of waste and unwanted items in addition to offering a recycling option.
Construction is expected to be completed by Fall 2025!
