FOREVER 21 MAY CLOSE
Forever 21 has filed for bankruptcy again. They were unable to find a buyer for their 359 stores. As a result, a court-supervised sale will be held while all stores hold liquidation sales. However, many news sources state that all stores will likely be closing permanently.
Several other stores have filed for bankrupcy and closed in recent months-Big Lots, Joann Fabrics, and Party City. All three of these stores were bought by liquidation company Gordon Brothers, who is now handling the liquidation sales at all locations except for a couple hundred Big Lots locations which were sold to Variety Wholesalers and 29 franchise-owned Party City stores. Gordon Brothers also held liquidation sales for all Forever 21 store locations in Canada when they closed in 2019.
