JUDGE CYNTHIA ADAMS SPEAKS AT HUNTSVILLE CHURCH
Douglas County Superior Court Judge Cynthia Adams spoke at Oakwood University Church in Huntsville, Alabama on February 1, 2025 as part of the church’s black history month as part of African-Americans who were “making history in real time,” stated Pastor Debleaire Snel. She was a guest honoree while Joshua Rogers was a guest artist.
A short informational video proceeded Judge Adams’ introduction, stating that Judge Adams was the first female and first African-American Judge to serve in Douglas County on the State or Superior Court level. The video stated she was originally appointed in 2017 and was reelected twice. The video stated Judge Adams made history again in January of 2025, becoming the first female and the first African-American of the Douglas County Judicial Circuit. The video stated she is a graduate of Oakwood College which is now Oakwood University.
