RECENT DOUGLAS COUNTY CRIMES
Kaylin Brown was arrested on May 8 and charged with fraud-financial identity. Brown allegedly used the identifying information of another person in an attempted to finance a motor vehicle at Calavan Kia on December 20, 2024. Brown was given a $10,000 bond.
Emery Hillier was arrested on May 6 and charged with theft by deception. Hillier allegedly obtained $55.43 in cash by using a digital receipt on his phone to fraudulently return merchandise. Hillier was given a $2,000 bond.
Kwa-Si N Hall was arrested on May 6 and charged with terroristic threats and acts. Hall allegedly posted a photo of someone on social media and threatened to kill them. Hall is in the Douglas County Jail on no bond.
Demerrius Arnold was arrested on May 6 and charged with terroristic threats and acts and battery-FVA 1st offense. Arnold allegedly threatened to pistol whip someone else and caused visible bodily harm to the same person. Arnold was given a bond of $8,500.
Jarvelles Thomas was arrested on May 5 and charged with aggravated assault deadly weapon. Thomas allegedly assaulted someone else with a firearm. Thomas is in the Douglas County Jail on no bond.
Daron Stoffer was arrested on May 2 and charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault-strangulation, sale of methamphetamine, and three counts of probation violation. Stoffer allegedly closed someone else’s hand in a vehicle door as well as allegedly strangled them, causing serious injury. Stoffer is currently in the Douglas County Jail on no bond.
Teresa Elzey was arrested on May 2 and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, tampering with evidence, possession of drug related objects, and possession of methamphetamine. Elzey allegedly attempted to discard a bag containing 6.1 ounces of methamphetamine on Linda Lane. She also alllegedly possessed a prescription bottle with 2 grams of methamphetamine. Elzey is currently in the Douglas County Jail on no bond.
Donald Dodd was arrested on May 2 and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. Dodd allegedly possessed two ounces of methamphetamine. Dodd is currently in the Douglas County Jail on no bond.
