START TO SCHOOL EARLIER NEXT YEAR

This was approved at the December 2 Board of Education Meeting. The BOE approved revised school calendars for this year and the next three years.

For the fall 2025 school year, students will begin on July 31 and their last day of school is May 20, 2025.

For the fall 2026 school year, students begin on July 31 and their last day of school is May 20, 2027.

For the fall 2027 school year, students begin on July 30 and their last day is May 18.

To compare:

Henry County starts July 31.
Cherokee, Coweta, and Paulding Counties start August 1, 2025.
Cobb, Dekalb, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Heard, and Rockdale Counties start on August 4, 2025.
Forsyth County starts on August 5, 2025.
